Carpe d’EIM

I sometimes write an article for my high school, École Internationale de Montréal’s student newspaper. Mostly, I run the editing process and will probably be taking over the whole operation next year.

24 heures de sciences 3rd place article

As part of my journalism class, I wrote an article about the sun’s corona. I decided to submit it to the 24 heures de science scientific journalism contest. I was pretty surprised and happy when I won the 3rd prize and a $25 gift card! Click here to read my article (in French).

Fifth grade slam poetry contest (Mission Jeunesse Québec)

In fifth grade, we did a project in class where we had to write a poem about an issue in the world. Seven kids were selected to audition to represent the school, and I was in eighth place (I was told I spoke too quietly), but since one of the top seven didn’t want to participate, I got to take his place. I ended up representing the school as a finalist with a very much edited version of my original piece.
